Indian Premier League is the biggest T-20 league in the world and the 13th season is all geared up to start in the coming May. As of now Mumbai Indians have been the most successful IPL team and Chennai Super Kings closely follow behind it. Chennai Super Kings is led by the captain MS Dhoni for 12 consecutive years. 

The CSK skipper started his journey in IPL, in the year 2008, and he is all set to lead the team in 2020 as well. Along with being a great captain throughout all the seasons, looking at MS Dhoni stats, he has shown exceptional captaincy. 1. Rajasthan Royals:

During the first season, Chennai Super Kings gave Rajasthan Royals a tough competition.  Both the teams have indulged in some intense matches, leaving fans biting their nails in anticipation. The Yellow brigades skipper played 19 innings against Rajasthan Royals and has remained unbeaten a total of 9 times. Rajasthan Royals clearly had a tough time playing against MS Dhoni. He also bagged two half-centuries while playing against Rajasthan Royals with the highest score of 75 runs.  The batsman has aggregated at 420 runs wherein the average stands at 42.00 against Rajasthan Royals. 

2. Pune Warriors:

Pune Warriors did not have much luck in the IPL history. In the short time that the team played it failed to qualify for any playoffs and often found itself at the bottom of the point table. Pune Warriors was an easy opponent to the Chennai Super Kings. MS Dhoni had played only six matches against them and batted for 5 innings. While he could not hit the 50 runs milestone against the team, his highest score stood at 45*. His strike rate of 150 against Pune Warriors was the primary highlight. 

3. Kolkata Knight Riders:

Kolkata Knight Riders, led by Gautam Gambhir, have made most of the matches difficult for MS Dhoni. The aggressive field that KKR and CSK played did not allow MS Dhoni to play at his natural form and he could not hit the double digits in spite of over 20+ balls. In the 24 games that MS Dhoni has played against KKR, the player aggregated at 471 runs and stood at an impressive average of 52.33. 

4. Kings XI Punjab:

When we talk about the IPL career of MS Dhoni, we cannot forget the two innings that he played against Kings XI Punjab. During IPL 2010, the Chennai Super Kings needed to win against Kings XI Punjab in order to stay in the competition. It almost seemed like CSK was on the verge of losing the match; however, MS Dhoni played a knock of 54 runs in just 29 balls and helped the team to win.
