Odds To Win the 2022 NFL MVP
Five weeks of the 2022 NFL regular season have passed by, and some things are already clear, and some things aren’t clear heading into Week 6. The MVP race for the 2022 NFL regular season feels wide open.
Some of the players that are favorites to win the MVP are on teams that are favorites to bet on Super Bowl as well. Who are some of the favorites to win the MVP this season?
Odds To Win the 2022 NFL MVP
Josh Allen +180
Josh Allen, the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, is currently the betting favorite to win the 2022 NFL MVP Award. He has yet to win one in his NFL career, but the jumps he has made in his NFL career up to this point are something else.
Allen has one of the most talented receiving corps in the NFL with Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis. Rookie Khalil Shakir is starting to get involved more in the offense because of Josh Allen. Allen has completed 66.8% of his passes for 1,651 yards passing, 14 touchdowns, and four interceptions so far this season.
The Buffalo Bills have very high super bowl odds because of him. Josh Allen could very well throw for over 5,000 yards and 40 touchdowns when the season ends.
Patrick Mahomes +375
Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, has the second-best odds of winning the 2022 NFL MVP Award. Mahomes has already won this award once, along with a Super Bowl MVP. He hasn’t had Tyreek Hill this year, and Patrick Mahomes is still finding a way without an issue distributing the football. Patrick Mahomes has completed 66.7% of his passes for 1,398 yards passing, 15 touchdowns, and two interceptions so far this season. One of his favorite and most reliable targets to throw to is tight end Travis Kelce. No one else has emerged as a receiving threat on this offense for him. The Super Bowl Lines are high for the Kansas City Chiefs because of Patrick Mahomes.
Jalen Hurts +450
Jalen Hurts, the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, has the third-best odds of winning the 2022 NFL MVP. Philadelphia is off to a 5-0 start this season, and they have a bunch of talent around him. However, they probably have been winning games despite him not doing anything crazy and not because of him.
Jalen Hurts completed 67.9% of his passes for 1,359 yards passing, four touchdowns, and two interceptions. He has also rushed for 266 yards on 68 carries and six touchdowns. We will see if Hurts can continue his strong play for the rest of the 2022 NFL regular season or not. A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert are his top receiving options.
Lamar Jackson +500
Lamar Jackson, the quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, has been electric to start the 2022 season for them. They are currently leading the AFC North with a 3-2 record. Baltimore could be back in the postseason this year because of him. He has already won one MVP Award and is on a contract year with Baltimore.
Jackson has completed 63.8% of his passes for 1,067 yards passing, 12 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He has also rushed for 374 yards on 49 carries and two touchdowns. Lamar Jackson’s top target to throw to is the tight end, Mark Andrews. Rashod Bateman and Devin Duvernary are his other top receiving options.
Justin Herbert +1200
Justin Herbert, the quarterback of the Los Angeles Chargers, has the fifth-best odds of winning the 2022 NFL MVP Award. He is one of the numerous capable quarterbacks in the NFL. Herbert has not had Keenan Allen by his side a lot this season due to injury. There are other injuries on this key football team, and he is keeping this football team afloat in the standings.
Herbert is completing 66.5% of his passes for 1,478 yards passing, 10 touchdowns, and two interceptions. His top wide receiver has been Mike Williams so far this season, and he has thrown to a bunch of other random players. Tight end Gerald Everett has been a big help as well.
